RESULS
Envisaged in the projectThe project seeks to stop the loss of its related biodiversity through assessment, adequate management, the application of agri-environmental subsidies and the marketing of new products (seed mixtures).
In particular, in the protected natural areas within SUDOE territory chosen to develop this project, the project aims to achieve the following results:
Increase in the total area of mesophile hay meadows floristically in at least 10 protected natural areas within the SUDOE territory.
Development of a manual of good practices for the management of hay meadows focused on the conservation of its biodiversity.
Methodological development to characterise pratense seeds for the purpose of certification and seed conservation.
Preparation of proposals focused on each local and regional reality that allow to make use of CAP funds in the transformation of the management model applied to the meadows subject to study.
Pilot development of a commercial product: mix of certified native seeds, whose production may be sustainable over time through a transformation process in the management of meadows towards the traditional model.
